VE Day 80
On May 8, 1945 - known as Victory in Europe Day or VE Day - celebrations erupted around the world to mark the end of World War II in Europe.

Thursday 8th May marks the 80th anniversary of VE Day and the Club will be sharing in the celebrations with the following events on that day:

9am
Stand together as the VE Day 80 ceremonial Flag is raised at the Club

3pm to 5.30pm
Enjoy an afternoon of live music and dancing with Club favourite Emma Baldwin.

£5 for both members and non-members. [Those who paid full price may request a refund if they wish].
Free entry for Club Members aged 80 and over (proof of age and Club membership card required). Tickets available behind the bar.

6:00pm – 8:00pm – WWII-Themed Fish & Chip Supper **Limited spaces**
Enjoy a nostalgic meal featuring Fish & Chips, Peas, Bread & Butter, and a Cup of Tea. Members can arrive any time between 6:00pm and 8:00pm, but please note there may be a short wait during peak times.

Price: £12.50 per person

Join with the nation as we light our Lamplight of Peace and sing “I vow to thee my country”
